OPEN OCEAN DOLPHIN SWIM
Don’t miss your opportunity to interact with dolphins in their natural ocean environment. This is the excursion we'll be taking part in
- Take a short bus ride to the UNEXSO facility in Port Lucaya where you will receive a complimentary tote bag and board the awaiting vessel.
- Enjoy a 20-minute boat ride through the beautiful canals of Grand Bahama Island or along the South Shore of the island (depending on weather).
- Arrive at Sanctuary Bay, where you will meet your dolphin trainer and listen to a brief orientation before heading out into the open ocean.
- Watch for dolphins jumping and playing in the boat’s wake as you ride out.
- Once the boat comes to a stop, you’ll enter the crystal clear water, approximately 20-25 feet deep, to swim with the beautiful Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins.
- Swim alongside these amazing creatures and perform behaviors with the dolphins, as you ask them to turn around, splash, wave and “speak”.

Dolphin option #2: SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS
- Experience how remarkably intelligent and friendly dolphins can be when you swim with them.
- Your interactive program begins with a 20-minute bus ride from the pier to Port Lucaya.
- Upon arrival at the UNEXSO facility, you will board a boat and enjoy a 20-minute ride through Grand Bahama Island’s beautiful canal system or along the island’s South Shore, depending on weather conditions.
- Arrive at Sanctuary Bay, a 9-acre natural lagoon and home to fourteen Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, where you will listen to an educational briefing provided by the well-trained staff before entering the water for your dolphin swim.
- You can swim alongside the dolphins, plunge underwater to play, or race against them above the surface.
- You’ll have the opportunity to perform behaviors with the dolphins, hug and kiss them.
- Photographers will be on hand to capture these special moments.
- After your dolphin swim (time permitting), purchase lunch or a snack at the Dive In Bar & Grill, take a dip in the 17 foot deep pool, or browse the gift shop.

Shore Snorkel & Beach Pass
- A must do for snorkelers. Paradise Cove offers direct access to a beautiful reef which is within swimming distance from the beach. This reef is known for it’s abundance of tropical fish and beautiful coral. You can snorkel, swim or just relax in your complimentary beach chair. A guide will issue your snorkel gear and give you a safety briefing before you start on your snorkel experience. Glass Bottom kayaks are available for rent. The Red Bar is open for you to purchase food and drinks.
